WEP HUNGARY KFT. was established in 1993 as the first member in a chain of companies covering most Central and Eastern European countries. WEP ROMANIA SRL followed soon. The purpose of the founders is to provide technically sound and economically viable solutions for controlling the environmental pollution caused by automotive sources: cars, trucks and buses.

As we have found and proved by years of research and testing, the most effective and economical solution is retrofitting old vehicles with catalytic converters and, if needed, with an emission control system.

Catalytic converters can also be installed as replacement parts where the original converter of the vehicle has been damaged or broken.

WEP converters are designed and manufactured according to ISO 9001 in California and meet the emission control standards of US EPA and CARB, furthermore they have been extensively tested in Europe according to UN-ECE 83.01/B, /D and 83.02/B, /C and /D regulations.
